Jelly Bean Fling – Spring Family Fun in Dade City

Celebrate spring at the Pioneer Museum Dade City FL with the Jelly Bean Fling on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10 am to 4 pm. This spectacular Spring Festival is packed with family-friendly activities. Kids will love the pony rides, face painting, children’s games with prizes, and make-and-take arts and crafts. Enjoy live entertainment, browse unique vendors, and savor delicious food from various food trucks.

Explore traditional craft demonstrations, including the blacksmith at work, and marvel at model trains. Don’t forget to capture precious memories with FREE photos with the Easter Bunny! An Easter Egg Hunt will also delight the children. All museum buildings will be open, allowing you to experience history firsthand.

World War II Living History Events at Pioneer Museum

The Pioneer Museum Dade City FL is also hosting two significant World War II events in April 2025, providing educational and immersive experiences for all ages.

World War II – Living History Field Trip Day

On Friday, April 25, 2025, from 9 am to 1 pm, the museum will host a World War II – Living History Field Trip Day. This event is specifically designed for public, private, and homeschool students, offering self-guided tours through living history learning stations. Students and chaperones can attend for $8 per person, with free parking. A concession stand will be available for food, drinks, snacks, and desserts (cash only).

This is a fantastic opportunity for students to engage with history in a dynamic and memorable way. Pre-registration is required for the World War II Field Trip Day.

For a fully immersive experience, attend the World War II – Living History Event on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10 am to 4 pm. Step back in time to the WWII Homefront and witness history come alive. More details about this event will be released closer to the date.

Annual Membership Meeting

Members of the Pioneer Museum are invited to the Annual Membership Meeting on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 6 pm in the Main Building at the Pioneer Florida Museum.

Introduction to Weaving Classes

For those interested in learning a new skill, the Pioneer Museum offers “Introduction to Weaving” classes. This introductory class focuses on multi-harness looms, teaching you to prepare a table loom and weave a sampler. You’ll learn about loom parts, weaving terms, and tools. All materials are provided.

Pre-registration is required at least 3 days in advance. Contact Marilynn Ory at (405)-250-5473 (voice or text) to register. Class fees are $25 for the first class and $20 for subsequent classes.
