Flexible Scheduling and Program Costs
Understanding the demanding schedules of high school students, the Pioneer Research Program offers two flexible terms annually. For students with busy academic years, the intensive 12-week summer semester, running from June to August, provides a focused period for research, free from the pressures of regular schoolwork. Alternatively, the extended 25-week spring semester, from February to July, allows for a more paced approach to research, incorporating flexibility and a designated break in May for AP exams and final assessments.
Both semesters deliver the same comprehensive content and number of faculty interaction sessions. The spring term provides greater scheduling flexibility and a reduced weekly workload due to its extended duration. Across both terms, students engage in at least 10 sessions with their professors, tailored to the research needs. Meeting intervals are spaced at least one week apart. Regardless of the chosen semester, participants receive equivalent course time, personalized faculty mentorship, college credit eligibility, and full access to Pioneer’s resources. The tuition for this transformative program is US$6,985.
