Initially, Kathy & Tim, demonstrating responsible pet ownership, prepared a “safe room” for Bonnie. Anticipating a period of adjustment, they expected Bonnie might need several days to become comfortable in her new environment. However, Bonnie had other plans! Upon arrival, she confidently hopped out of her carrier and immediately began exploring her safe room. She sniffed around, enjoyed a meal, and even played with the foam soccer balls that her thoughtful foster family had sent along – a testament to the caring network of Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society fosters.
To everyone’s astonishment, Bonnie declared herself ready to venture beyond her safe room after just 90 minutes. Despite Kathy & Tim’s initial hesitation, Bonnie confidently led the way, embarking on a comprehensive exploration of her new house, investigating every nook and cranny with remarkable curiosity and confidence. Her energy levels were sky-high from day one, and she enthusiastically engaged in a lively “soccer” game with her new parents until she finally tired herself out and settled down for a well-deserved rest.
Since that amazing first day, Bonnie has filled her new home with endless laughter and smiles. Her days are a delightful mix of energetic play, hearty meals, and an abundance of snuggles and kisses. Her love for soccer balls is undeniable; she frequently brings them to Kathy & Tim, inviting them to play, and playfully leaves them in unexpected places like their shoes and desk. Bonnie has undeniably infused their home with a renewed sense of life and joy, and Kathy & Tim cherish the blossoming relationship they are building with her.
