  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 (12-ounce package) cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
  • 1 (30 ounce) package frozen shredded hash browns, thawed

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, cook the sausage, red bell pepper, and white and light green parts of the green onions, breaking the sausage up into small pieces with a wooden spoon, until there is no longer any pink in the sausage, about 6-8 minutes. Cool slightly.
