We believe in transparency and open communication with our community. The Pioneer Crossing Landfill Citizens Advisory Committee meetings are open to all members of the public. We encourage you to join us at our education center, located within the landfill premises, on the third Wednesday of each month at 1:00 pm. Your participation and feedback are invaluable to us.

Pioneer Crossing Landfill stands as Mascaro’s flagship disposal site, permitted to process 1,975 tons of waste daily. We operate under a Host Community Agreement with Exeter Township and proudly hold the distinction of being the first landfill in Pennsylvania to secure an expansion permit under the DEP’s stringent Harms/Benefit Analysis. This landmark permit secures at least 20 years of continued disposal capacity for our valued customers, with potential expansion capabilities extending beyond 60 years.

Comprehensive Waste Acceptance at Pioneer Crossing
Pioneer Crossing is authorized to accept a wide range of waste materials, categorized as Residual Wastes and Special Wastes. This includes, but is not limited to, non-hazardous metals, soils and debris contaminated with petroleum or other substances, coal and wood-derived ash (bottom and fly ash), and foundry sand slag and dust. We are also permitted to handle autoclaved medical waste, asbestos (both friable and non-friable), and PCB-contaminated wastes.
To ensure full compliance with our operating permits and Pennsylvania DEP guidelines, all Special Waste materials undergo a thorough review by our team of professionals. Furthermore, each Special Waste stream requires review and approval from the Pennsylvania DEP prior to acceptance at our facility. We offer efficient electronic processing of approval paperwork to expedite the acceptance process. Manifesting paperwork is provided at no additional cost, and we can furnish daily, weekly, and monthly tracking reports upon request.
