Essential Campground Regulations
Site Allocation and Usage
- First Come, First Served Basis: Please note that reservations are not accepted at Pioneer Park Campground. Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing for spontaneous adventures and flexibility in your travel plans.
- Camp in Designated Sites Only: To preserve the natural beauty and organization of Pioneer Park Campground, camping is permitted only within designated campsites. Please observe signage and marked boundaries to select an appropriate site for your stay.
- Site Occupancy Limits: To ensure comfortable spacing and manage park capacity, each campsite is limited to one camping unit (this includes tents, RVs, trailers, and other camping vehicles) and one additional vehicle. This policy helps maintain a pleasant atmosphere for all campers.
Maintaining Site Order and Cleanliness
- Respecting Park Property: To protect the trees and structures within Pioneer Park Campground, please refrain from attaching ropes or wires to trees or buildings. This helps preserve the natural landscape and park infrastructure for everyone’s enjoyment.
- Doormat Size Restriction: To maintain the health and appearance of the grassy areas at your campsite, please ensure your doormat does not exceed 3’x 4’ in size. This small measure helps protect the vegetation and keeps campsites looking their best.
- Proper Waste Disposal: Maintaining cleanliness is a shared responsibility at Pioneer Park Campground. All trash and waste must be placed in the provided garbage cans or dumpsters located throughout the campground. Your diligence in proper waste disposal helps keep the park clean and inviting for all visitors.
- Designated Dump Station: For the convenience of RV and trailer campers, a dump station is located at the west end of Pioneer Park Campground. Please utilize this facility for disposing of wastewater in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Prohibition of Ground Dumping and Vehicle Washing: To protect the environment and conserve water resources within Pioneer Park Campground, dumping water or any liquids onto the ground is strictly prohibited. This includes the washing of vehicles, trailers, or motor homes at your campsite. Please use designated facilities elsewhere for vehicle cleaning.
- Ground Coverings Policy: To protect the grass and natural ground cover at each campsite, please refrain from placing boards, pallets, blocks, or other similar items directly on the grass. These items can damage the vegetation and soil over time.
- Maintaining Site Neatness: To ensure a pleasant and organized atmosphere throughout Pioneer Park Campground, all items outside your camping unit should be arranged in a neat and orderly fashion. This contributes to the overall aesthetic appeal and safety of the campground.
- Campfire Safety Guidelines: Campfires are a beloved part of the camping experience and are allowed at Pioneer Park Campground. However, we urge all campers to exercise extreme caution when building and maintaining campfires. Please ensure fires are contained within designated fire rings or grills and are fully extinguished before you leave your site or retire for the night. Always be mindful of dry conditions and wind that could increase fire risk.
