For those planning to camp, please be aware that all camping units must visibly display a current tag at all times for easy management verification.
General Park Rules
To maintain order and accessibility within Pioneer Park, please adhere to the following guidelines regarding camping and site usage:
- First Come, First Served: Pioneer Park operates on a first-come, first-served basis. We do not accept reservations for campsites, ensuring fair access for all visitors seeking a spot in our park.
- Designated Camping Areas: Camping is permitted only within designated campsites. Please ensure you set up your camping unit within the marked boundaries to help maintain the park’s layout and organization.
- Site Occupancy Limits: Each campsite is designed to accommodate one camping unit and one vehicle. This regulation helps us manage space effectively and ensures there is enough room for all park visitors.
- Respect Park Property: To protect our trees and buildings, please refrain from attaching ropes or wires to them. This helps preserve the natural beauty of Pioneer Park and prevents damage to park structures.
- Doormat Size: To keep campsites tidy and prevent excessive ground cover, doormats should be no larger than 3’x 4’. This small detail contributes to the overall cleanliness and appearance of the camping areas.
- Proper Waste Disposal: Maintaining the cleanliness of Pioneer Park is a shared responsibility. All trash must be disposed of in the provided garbage cans or dumpsters. Please help us keep the park litter-free for everyone to enjoy.
- Designated Dump Station: A dump station is conveniently located at the west end of the park for your use. Please utilize this facility for disposing of waste water from your camping unit in an environmentally responsible manner.
- No Ground Water Dumping: To protect the park’s environment and prevent unsanitary conditions, dumping water on the ground is strictly prohibited. This includes the washing of vehicles, trailers, or motor homes within the park premises.
- Prohibited Ground Coverings: To preserve the grass and natural ground cover, please do not place boards, pallets, blocks, or similar items on the grass at your campsite.
- Campsite Orderliness: We encourage all campers to maintain a neat and orderly campsite. All items placed outside should be arranged in a tidy fashion, contributing to the pleasant atmosphere of the park.
- Departure Cleanliness: Upon departure, each campsite must be left clean and neat. Please ensure you remove all personal belongings and trash, leaving the site in good condition for the next visitors.
Safety and Conduct Guidelines
For the safety and well-being of all park visitors, please be mindful of the following safety and conduct guidelines:
- Campfire Safety: Campfires are permitted in designated areas. However, we urge everyone to exercise extreme caution when building and maintaining campfires. Always ensure fires are properly extinguished and never left unattended.
- Parental Responsibility: Parents and guardians are responsible for the supervision and conduct of their children at all times while in Pioneer Park. Please ensure children are aware of park rules and behave responsibly to ensure their safety and the enjoyment of others.
- No Swimming Policy: Swimming is not allowed in any of the park’s waters. This rule is in place for your safety and to preserve the natural habitats within Pioneer Park’s water bodies.
Pet Policy
Pioneer Park welcomes pets, understanding they are part of many families. To ensure a harmonious environment for all visitors, please adhere to our pet policy:
- Pet Regulations:
- Pet Limit: A maximum of two pets are allowed per campsite.
- Leash Requirement: Pets must be kept on a leash at all times, with the leash not exceeding ten feet in length. This is for the safety of your pet, other visitors, and wildlife.
- Restricted Areas: Pets are not allowed inside park buildings or near the Wildlife Refuge area to protect sensitive habitats and maintain visitor facilities.
- No Unattended Pets: Please do not leave pets unattended at any time. Unattended pets can become distressed or pose a disturbance to others.
- Pet Waste Management: Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up ALL pet waste immediately. Please carry waste bags and dispose of them properly in designated trash receptacles.
- Disturbance Policy: Pet disturbance of any kind will not be tolerated. Please ensure your pets are well-behaved and do not disrupt the peace and quiet of Pioneer Park.
Park Amenities
Pioneer Park provides several amenities for the convenience and enjoyment of our visitors:
- Restrooms and Showers: Restrooms with shower facilities are available for the convenience of registered campers. For non-campers wishing to use the showers, a fee of $2.00 per shower applies, payable at the Park Office.
- Fishing and Boating: Fishing is permitted from the banks of Pioneer Lake, Rock Lake, and Peace River. Boating is allowed on Peace River only, with a boat ramp available for public use. Please observe all posted regulations regarding fishing and boating activities.
