Age Restrictions
To rent a vehicle from Pioneer Parkway Enterprise, all drivers must be 21 years of age or older. This is a standard policy across the car rental industry, reflecting insurance and risk management considerations. It’s important to note that for drivers aged 21 to 24, an underage surcharge of $25 per day will apply. However, Pioneer Parkway Enterprise ensures that even younger renters have access to a wide range of vehicles, including economy through full-size cars, cargo and minivans, pickup trucks, and compact, small, and standard SUVs with seating for up to 5 passengers. Driver’s License and Identification
A valid driver’s license is mandatory for all renters and additional drivers at Pioneer Parkway Enterprise. This license must be current and issued by a recognized authority. Furthermore, renters are required to present a major credit card or debit card in their name at the time of rental. This card is necessary for security and deposit purposes.
Debit Card Policy
Pioneer Parkway Enterprise understands that not all renters possess a credit card. Therefore, we accept debit cards under specific conditions to provide flexible payment options. If you plan to use a debit card for your rental at Pioneer Parkway Enterprise, please ensure you meet the following criteria:
- Address Verification: The name and address displayed on your driver’s license must precisely match your current home address.
- Location Proximity or Same State License: Your address must be within 50 miles of our Pioneer Parkway Enterprise rental branch, OR your driver’s license must be issued from the same state where our rental branch is located.
- Utility Bill Requirement: Renters using a debit card must present an original utility bill (such as gas, electric, water, or internet) that is not past due and does not have a disconnect notice. This bill serves as further address verification.
- Additional Documentation: In addition to a utility bill, renters must also provide one of the following original documents dated within the last 30 days, showing their current home address: a cellular phone bill, a paycheck or paystub, or the original declaration page from an active auto insurance policy.
- Military Exemption: Active duty military personnel are exempt from the address requirements when using a debit card, as a recognition of their service and mobility.
It is important to note that when using a debit card, only the renter’s spouse or domestic partner is permitted as an additional driver. Renters utilizing debit cards can choose from the same vehicle classes as mentioned earlier: economy through full-size cars, cargo and minivans, pickup trucks, and compact, small, and standard SUVs with seating up to 5 passengers.
When a debit card is used for any rental charges, the funds available in the associated account will be reduced by the corresponding amount. Please be aware that Pioneer Parkway Enterprise is not responsible for any overdraft fees incurred due to debit card transactions. Insurance Verification for Specific Vehicle Classes
For renters choosing to rent certain luxury or high-value vehicle classes from Pioneer Parkway Enterprise, insurance verification is required. This policy applies to the following vehicle categories: Full Size Luxury Sedan, Premium Luxury Sedan, Midsize Sport Luxury Sedan, Electric Luxury Sedan, Premium Luxury SUV, Extended Luxury SUV, Electric Luxury SUV, Limo Van, and Corvette. For these vehicle classes, renters must provide proof of a transferable auto collision, comprehensive, and liability insurance policy at the time of rental. This ensures adequate coverage for these premium vehicles.
Forms of Payment Policy at Pioneer Parkway Enterprise

At the time of reservation, the estimated total for your rental, as displayed on our website or in your email confirmation, will be charged to your chosen form of payment. Should any modifications be made to your reservation, the estimated total may be adjusted accordingly, and the updated amount will be charged to the same payment method.
Upon vehicle pickup at Pioneer Parkway Enterprise, you will be required to sign a rental contract. This legally binding document includes a Rental Agreement Summary and comprehensive Additional Terms and Conditions that govern your rental agreement. Please read this contract carefully before signing.
Deposit Amount
To cover potential additional charges that may arise during your rental period, Pioneer Parkway Enterprise requires a deposit at the time of rental. For most vehicle classes, the standard deposit amount is $300. However, a higher deposit of $850 is required for the following vehicle classes due to their higher value or performance characteristics: Performance Sport, Full Size Luxury SUV, Electric Luxury SUV, Full Size Elite Electric Sedan, Midsize Sport Luxury Sedan, Full Size Luxury Sedan, Premium Luxury Sedan, Electric Luxury Sedan, Premium Luxury SUV, Extended Luxury SUV, Limo Van, and Corvette.
This deposit must be made using one of the accepted forms of payment listed above. It’s important to understand that the deposit amount will be held and will not be available for your use during the rental period. The deposit will be refunded to you after the vehicle is returned in satisfactory condition, according to the terms of the rental agreement.
If any additional charges are incurred during your rental, such as for extra mileage, late return, damages, or fuel charges, these amounts may be deducted from your deposit, if applicable. If these charges exceed the deposit amount or are not deducted from the deposit, they will be charged to the form of payment provided at the time of rental, unless you provide an alternative accepted payment method at the end of the rental.
When using a debit card for the deposit or any other rental charges, please remember that the funds will be immediately deducted from your account balance. Pioneer Parkway Enterprise is not responsible for any overdraft fees resulting from debit card transactions.
Please note that money orders and prepaid cards are not accepted as forms of payment at the time of rental, including for the deposit. However, these payment methods, along with cash (though cash is generally not preferred), may be used to settle any outstanding balance at the end of your rental, after the vehicle has been returned and assessed.
For added convenience, Pioneer Parkway Enterprise also accepts credit cards listed on your Renter’s Profile or Loyalty Account (such as Emerald Club or E Club) as payment for all rental charges, in addition to the standard payment methods.
All charges related to your rental agreement will be processed as either an authorization hold against your credit or debit card, or as a direct charge to your debit card.
