Prior to these roles, he served as Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Director at Theatre Communications Group (TCG), a national service organization for professional theatre. At TCG, he spearheaded equity initiatives, implementing anti-racist hiring practices and restructuring departments to better align with organizational values. His financial stewardship at TCG was exemplary, managing operating and grantmaking budgets ranging from $8 to $10 million with consistent positive cash flow and budget surpluses. Adrian was also instrumental in launching and revitalizing key programs and services, including multimillion-dollar initiatives, flexible work arrangements, hybrid events, and innovative membership models.
Before his tenure at TCG, Adrian spent five transformative years as Managing Director at The Theater Offensive (TTO), an LGBTQ non-profit arts organization in Boston. During his time there, he significantly elevated TTO’s national profile, strengthened its community presence, expanded its network of supporters, and secured its financial future by eliminating debt, more than doubling revenue, and building substantial cash reserves.
