Ree Drummond, the beloved star of Pioneer Woman, has recently unveiled her brand new kitchen, and it’s everything fans have dreamed of and more. Featured on her popular Pioneer Woman blog and in the latest issue of her magazine, the spacious and thoughtfully designed kitchen is a true testament to her lifestyle and culinary passions. This isn’t just a kitchen; it’s the heart of Ree’s new Oklahoma home, perfectly crafted for family gatherings and Food Network-worthy feasts.
In 2021, Ree and her husband Ladd made a significant change, moving from their family home where Ladd grew up. As Ree explained to PEOPLE, the decision was driven by practicality. “It wasn’t a charming 50-year-old house,” she shared, noting foundation and other structural issues that had become too much to handle. This move marked a fresh start and the opportunity to create a home perfectly suited to their current needs.

Working alongside Tulsa-based designer Sherri Duvall and her architect husband John Duvall, Ree meticulously designed the kitchen to be both beautiful and highly functional. The centerpiece is a massive kitchen island, topped with stunning white marble countertops. This expansive workspace is ideal for Ree’s signature style of cooking for large groups of family and friends. According to her blog, a key priority was ensuring the kitchen was “durable and big enough” for these cherished gatherings.
The kitchen’s design details are both elegant and practical. Four pendant lights provide ample illumination over the island, while gold accents, seen in the kitchen faucet and pot rack, add a touch of warmth. For Ree, the pot rack above the stove is a novel and welcome addition.

“I was afraid it would be more for decoration,” she admitted about the pot rack. “But having the skillets right there actually makes me want to cook more!” A bold, modern black bull painting serves as a focal point, cleverly connecting the black tile flooring and paying tribute to the Drummond ranching heritage.
The spacious pantry is another highlight, featuring cabinets painted in Benjamin Moore’s Amazon Green, creating a tranquil and stylish storage space. The combination of open and closed shelving provides both visual appeal and practical organization. Perhaps the most eye-catching feature in the pantry is the library-style rolling ladder with a brass rail. This “practical and chic” addition ensures every shelf is easily accessible.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a charming breakfast nook, designed for relaxed family meals. A comfortable, cushioned banquette and large windows offering stunning ranch views create an inviting atmosphere. Rattan chairs and a round wood table add an earthy touch to this cozy corner. Ree joked about getting acquainted with the banquette, “Ladd and I are still in the getting-to-know-you phase with the banquette, but the kids have been breaking it in!”
While their new main house was under construction, Ree and Ladd resided in a smaller guest house nearby. This guest house now serves as a welcoming space for their five children – Alex, Paige, Bryce, Jamar, and Todd – when they visit the ranch. Easter 2024 saw a full family reunion at the ranch, with Ree sharing glimpses of the festivities and her new kitchen on Instagram. A timelapse clip captured the bustling kitchen during Easter meal preparations, highlighting its functionality for large family gatherings.
