Dear Pioneer Water Customers, please be advised of upcoming changes to your billing system, designed to enhance our services and your payment experience. These updates will be implemented starting in May 2024 and are important for all account holders to note.
Key Changes to Your Pioneer Water Bill
Several key updates will affect how you receive and pay your Pioneer Water bill. We encourage you to carefully review these changes to ensure smooth and timely payments.
New Account Numbers
Starting May 2024, you will notice a new account number on your monthly Pioneer Water bill. It is crucial to use this new account number for all future correspondence and payments. Whether you are mailing in your payment or using online banking services, please update your records to reflect this new number. This will prevent any delays in processing your payments through our updated system.
Adjustments to Credit Card Transaction Fees
Historically, Pioneer Water has covered the fees associated with credit card payments. However, due to the increasing costs of these fees, we are no longer able to absorb them. As a result, a service fee of 2.95% will be applied to all credit card transactions. This fee will apply to payments made in person at our office, through our website (www.pioneerwater.net), or via phone.
Introduction of Electronic Check Payment Option
With our new system, we are pleased to offer an additional payment method: electronic check. This option allows you to pay directly from your bank account online, with a service fee of $1.95 per check. This provides a lower-cost alternative to credit card payments for online transactions.
It is important to note that Pioneer Water does not receive any portion of these service fees. These fees are directly charged and collected by FIS Corporation for processing these transactions. All service fee charges will be clearly indicated on your monthly statement as “L2G* Pioneer water”.
Payment Methods Still Accepted by Pioneer Water
We continue to accept a variety of payment methods to accommodate your preferences. You can still make payments without any additional fees through the following methods:
- Cash: Payments can be made in person at our office or through the drive-thru window.
- Checks: We accept checks mailed to our office, or presented in person at the office or drive-thru window.
- Bank Drafts: You can set up automatic payments directly from your checking account.
For after-hours convenience, we also have a night drop box located at our drive-thru window for check or cash payments.
Future Option for Email Billing
Looking ahead, our new software will enable us to offer the option to receive your Pioneer Water bill via email. Alternatively, you can opt for an email alert notifying you when your bill is available to view online. If you are interested in this convenient, paperless option in the future, please contact us and provide your preferred email address, and we will update your account information in preparation for when this feature becomes available.
