Pioneer Woman Paige is Home: Ree Drummond’s Daughter Joins Ranch Full-Time

Ree Drummond, widely recognized as The Pioneer Woman, has some exciting family news to share from the Drummond Ranch. Her daughter, Paige, has officially returned home and joined the ranch as a full-time employee. According to Ree, Paige has already earned a special title from her husband, Ladd: his “favorite cowboy.”

This heartwarming update was announced on Ree’s website, where she enthusiastically declared, “Ladd has a favorite cowboy…and her name is Paige.” Paige’s homecoming in January marks a new chapter for the Drummond family and the ranch. While Paige grew up on the ranch, her current role is about immersing herself in every aspect of ranch operations as a dedicated team member.

Ree detailed Paige’s growing responsibilities, explaining, “She’s getting more and more experience in every aspect of ranching, from sorting cattle to weaning calves to fixing fence and water gaps to building salt boxes and a long list of other have-to chores.” Ranch work is undeniably demanding, and Ree acknowledges the challenges Paige is facing. “She’s getting banged up, scratched, bruised, and clobbered… and time will tell if she’s in this for the long haul!” Ree wrote, highlighting the demanding nature of the work.

Despite the bumps and bruises, Paige’s return has brought immense joy to her parents. Ree openly shared her delight, saying, “Ladd is loving having her home. (Psst. I am, too!)” It’s clear that having Paige back at the ranch and contributing to the family business is a source of great happiness for both Ree and Ladd.

Fans got a sneak peek of Paige’s return to ranch life earlier, when Ree shared a clip on Instagram from her Food Network show, The Pioneer Woman. The video segment featured Paige, a University of Arkansas alumna, starting her day bright and early on the ranch. Ree narrated in the clip, “Paige starts pretty early around daylight. She arrives at the ranch from town, fills up her feeder, and then heads out into the pasture to feed the cattle.”

In the same clip, Paige expressed genuine enthusiasm for her work, particularly the peaceful mornings. “Feeding is one of my favorite things to do because you’re really just getting up and getting in your truck and driving around and the sunrises are really pretty… It’s just fun, and it’s honestly kind of peaceful,” Paige shared, revealing her appreciation for the quieter moments of ranch life.

Paige isn’t the only Drummond child contributing to the ranch this season. Ree mentioned that their son Todd was the first to return home for the summer, readily joining Ladd in the ranch work. With Paige now working full-time and Todd’s summer help, it’s truly a family affair at the Drummond Ranch. The return of Paige to the ranch is not just a personal homecoming; it’s a testament to the enduring appeal of the ranching lifestyle and the close-knit Drummond family values.
