Obtaining Your Pioneer ID Card: New Students, Faculty, and Staff in Denver

For those new to the University of Denver, getting your Pioneer ID card is a straightforward process. To expedite the process, the ID Office encourages digital photo submissions whenever possible. You can find detailed instructions on how to submit your photo online here.

Once your photo is approved, you can pick up your physical Pioneer ID card during regular business hours at the ID Office, conveniently located in the Driscoll Commons Building at 2050 East Evans Ave Suite 4, Denver CO 80210. Should you encounter any issues accessing the building upon arrival, simply call the office at 303-871-4545 for assistance. Online students unable to visit the Denver campus can request to have their ID card mailed to them by contacting [email protected].

The first Pioneer ID card is provided free of charge to all DU community members.

Replacing Your Pioneer ID Card

Life happens, and sometimes ID cards need replacing. If you require a replacement Pioneer ID card, the cost is $30. Payment can be made via cash, check, Flex, or, for students, the fee can be added to your student account. Flex is particularly useful for mailed replacements and can be easily topped up using a credit or debit card at this link. While there is a replacement fee, mailing of replacement cards is offered free of charge.

Using Your Pioneer ID Card and Important Information

Your Pioneer ID card is your official University of Denver identification and must be carried on campus. It’s important to handle your card with care. Do not hole-punch your DU ID Card, as this will damage the embedded computer chip and render it unusable. Avoid cutting, folding, or otherwise damaging your card.

The Pioneer ID Card Office is conveniently located in Driscoll South, at 2050 E. Evans Ave, Denver, CO, 80208.

Regular Office Hours:

  • Monday-Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Thursday: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Please note: A valid form of photo identification, such as a driver’s license or passport, is required when picking up your ID card.
